Perennial / Ephemeral is a new work for a cappella choir (with divisi SSSAAATTTBBB). It was premiered by Fenham Ensemble in December 2023 and won the Kantos Carol Competition 2023 with a subsequent performance by Kantos in Manchester, conducted by Ellie Slorach.

The work is in three sections - the first and third comprising of my arrangement of the British folk carol ‘The Holly and the Ivy’.
