Make a Wish is a single breath piece composed for flautist Kathryn Williams as part of her collection of single breath pieces called ‘Coming up for Air’. The piece has been performed several times in different versions (‘fairy dust’ / ‘birthday cake’ / ‘dandelion’) and was included in composer Larry Goves’ ‘Coming up for Air concerto’, performed in November 2024 at Rainy Days Festival by Philharmonie Luxembourg. During the concerto, the whole orchestra held their breath as part of this iteration of the work.
